Art can be an incredibly powerful healing tool. For years, my studio has catered to people with special needs and in special circumstances. Art therapy might mean different things to different people. It can be used for counseling, healing, treatment, rehabilitation, psychotherapy, and in the broad sense of the term, art therapy is used to massage one’s inner-self in a way that may provide the individual with a deeper understanding of him or herself.

Art therapy can help!
Some situations in which art therapy might be beneficial include:
- Children with learning disabilities, such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Hyperactivity, and Autism. I have extensive experience teaching autistic students.
- Adults experiencing stress, perhaps from the loss of a loved one, or family issues.
- Children suffering from behavioral or social problems at school or at home
- Children or adults who have experienced a traumatic event
Scheduling
Due to the individual attention that art therapy requires, most sessions are required to be private. Scheduling for these classes remain flexible, and I can work with you to set up a convenient time and cadence. Simply contact me by phone or the link below and we'll get started!
Testimonials
“After 21 years of marriage, I went through the painful process of a divorce. My entire life was turned upside down and I didn't know how I was going to get through it. With Shiva's Art Therapy classes, I was able to relax, if even for a couple hours a week. I was able to release my emotions through the paintbrush and learned to heal. Thanks Shiva!”
“I have two incredibly smart autistic children. If you're familiar with autism, you'll know that it's quite challenging to get them to focus their attention on something like an art class. Shiva knew just how to keep their focus and taught them to enjoy art. We all love seeing their beautiful art in the house.”
